Nick is a writer. Currently, a human writer at OpenAI.
Before that he spent just shy of a decade making things for Apple — things like the opener to this Keynote.
His short film featuring George Harrison won an Emmy.
His commercials with Timothée Chalamet and Jon Hamm and Derek Jeter were nominated for Emmys… but they didn’t win.
In addition to Apple, Nick has worked on adidas, Activision, Anti-smoking, ESPN, Honda, Gatorade, Google, Miller Coors, MGM, Nissan and Red Bull at agencies like 72 and Sunny, Chiat\Day, and Media Arts Lab where he was most recently an Executive Creative Director.
Nick also writes films about things that aren’t brands. Some long. Some short. Some he's directed. Some that got into film festivals around the world, like Bodyman (Experience Required).
And now he’s writing his second novel. If you’re interested in the first one, Making Waves at the End of the World, please reach out for a manuscript from his literary agent: laura@laurayorke.com
Nick has won gold at Cannes, D&AD, One Show, ADC, Clios and Webby Awards, was selected by Adweek for the first edition of the Creative 100, and was the youngest ever recipient of the Alumni Award at the University of Illinois — where he studied creative writing. Of it all, the thing his wife Alyssa cares about most is that he’s home for bedtime with his son Felix.
